Richard brings more than 30 years of experience across global financial services, spanning senior leadership roles in capital markets, derivatives, analytics, and index businesses, as well as successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Most recently, he served for five years as Head of Analytics and Fixed Income Indices at the London Stock Exchange Group. Prior to this, Richard spent 27 years at Citigroup, having joined Salomon Brothers in 1990. During his tenure, he held a number of senior global roles, including Head of European Equity Derivatives, Global Head of Equity Derivative Structured and Retail Products, Global Head of Multi-Asset Derivatives, and CEO of Yield Book. In 2017, he played a key role in Citigroup’s sale of the Yield Book business to the London Stock Exchange Group.

Earlier in his career, Richard was a Senior Studio Engineer for BBC Television. In 1992, he co-founded Alston Elliot, a mainstream television sports graphics company, which he successfully grew and ultimately sold to Inflexion Private Equity in 2017.

Richard holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MBA from London Business School.
